In summer it is easy to reach a temperature of 35º, and in winter it is between 18º during the day, and 10º at night time, with typical Mediterranean temperatures with soft winters. All of this makes this area of the Marina Alta a perfect place to spend a holiday throughout the year.

Teulada-Moraira can presume of having history, traditions, culture and monuments, which makes it one of the preferred locations in this area to discover. It has many places to visit like Moraira’s castle, Fishing Port, or Cova de les Rates. One of the most populars Spanish “fiestas” is Moors and Christians, based on the ancient battles between the Moorish attackers and the Christian defenders. The festival celebrates the final success of the Christians. It is very interesting and worth visiting.

Alicante airport “El Altet” is just 1 hour away, and Valencia airport is located within 1hour and 20 minutes by car.

You can reach Teulada through the N-332 road, between Gata de Gorgos and Benissa. On the other hand, Moraira is located 6 kilometers away from Teulada following the coast road.

The town of Jávea is about 15 minutes driving, and Calpe is about 20 minutes by car from Teulada-Moraira, while Benissa can be reached in 10 minutes.

Also, Altea and Benidorm are close to Teulada-Moraira, in just over half an hour by car.

Some of the restaurants in Teulada-Moraira are recommended by the prestigious Michelin Guide. Visitors can choose between the traditional cuisine and Italian, German, Oriental and French specialities.

The local traditional dishes are «putxero de polp» (squid stew) «sopa de peix» (fish soup) as well as salted melva (similar to tuna), «bull» and «anxova» (anchovy).

The famous Mediterranean rice dishes are arròs a banda» (which is similar to paella but with small fish piece without skin) and «arròs negre» (which includes small fish pieces, and the rice is black because it is prepared by using squid ink). There is also a rice soup with octopus called «arròs de senyoret».

The Mediterranean wine has its own personality due to the privilleged climate. The most famous product is the muscatel “Mistela”, as well as White rosé and red wines that will go with the meals, and incredible sparkling wines. Therefore, you will always find the right wine for every occasion.

Moraira-Teulada has an extension area of around 2,000 hectares used for cultivation and 1,000 hectares are used for vineyards. It is very famous for the growing of Muscatel grapes for wine making.

Moraira has a population of around 10.000, which is increased to as many as 30.000 people in summer months.

The building developments in Moraira are different than in another towns like Calpe or Benidorm, because the Law does not allow to build high-rise buildings. So here you will find the feeling of space and non-stress town.

The famous “Nautical Club” has 620 boarding points. It offers different activities for sailing and regatta courses throughout the year.

Moraira has three sandy beaches and many rocky coves where divers often go to discover different types of sea fish.

The town has large supermarkets like Mercadona, or Masymas, that also supply products from other countries. There are small German or English supermarkets as well where you can find special imported products.

The closest shopping center to Moraira is the Portal de la Marina Shopping Center. It belongs to Ondara and offers all kinds of fashion shops, bars and restaurants, as well as pet shops, a cinema, a hairdresser and a large Carrefour supermarket. In addition, you will find local shops and boutiques offering fabrics and a range of women’s clothing, shoes and accessories.

All of this makes Moraira a perfect place to live or visit.
