Dénia is a quiet little town located on the east coast of Spain between Alicante and Valencia. It belongs to the region of the Marina Alta, and is located along the coast known as the Costa Blanca.

The city has a population of 41,672 that is double increased during the summer months.

Alicante airport is located within just 1 hour drive via the AP7, and Valencia airport 1h 30min away.

The town of Teulada-Moraira is located within 35 minutes by car. Just 40 minutes via AP7 will take you to Benidorm.

The port of Dénia is one of the most important ports on the coast. The port has been totally refurbished over recent years and now provides a stunning location to walk, sail and enjoy the restaurants. Also, from this port you can take boat to Ibiza or Mallorca, which are running every day.

The main avenue of Dénia is the Marques de Campo that is surrounded by bars, banks, cafes, restaurants, designer shops and offices, where you can have a cup a coffee or go shopping.

One of the most important monuments of Dénia is the old castle. It is located at the top of Denia, close to the town hall, surrounded by the narrow streets. The castle also has a museum. It was built in the 11th century and has been reformed several times over the years.

The Montgo Mountain (Parque Natural del Montgo) is the best place for amazing walks. Behind the mountain you will find the little villages of Jesus Pobre and Pedreguer.

Dénia is divided into two areas – Las Marinas area (to the left from the town centre) and Las Rotas (to the right).

The local market is located in Magallanes Street, where you will find different service such as fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, bakery, salted fish, cafes, etc. The Opening Hours are from 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m, from Monday to Saturday. 

The fish market is located in the Port of Dénia. You can watch how the ships arrive to port since 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is a great variety of sea products: Dénia red prawn, lobsters, sea urchins and different fresh seafood; octopus, anchovy, calamari, hook fishing and all kind of fresh fish.
